The maplin website is a very good advocate of doing secure things the
way AA have done on their pages - serving info to a secure server from a
non-secure page. Whether or not Maplin could improve things but still be
useful I don't know but I never go to the website to buy things, just to
look up information and it's as slow as a very slow thing going through
cesium gas. I'm sure they could provide a "get information" thing that
doesn't need to be secure.
